Lexus Safety System+ 2.5
Every Lexus ES sedan comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5. This comprehensive safety suite is designed to help your vehicle remain centered on the road with features like Lane Tracing Assist and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. Find yourself driving after dark during the winter when the sun sets early in the Northeast? If so, then take advantage of the Intelligent High Beams.
Are you buying a luxury sedan because you spend a lot of time on the road for business trips? In that case, included Road Sign Assist will help you follow the rules of the road by displaying nearby road signs on the driver information cluster using radar technology. Pair this with All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and you’ll always stay within the local limits.
Standard Safety Features
While Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 comes standard on all models, there are other safety features that come standard but aren’t part of the safety suite. These include 10 standard airbags as well as a backup camera with dynamic gridlines. These can help you back in to even the coziest of spots without your copilot having to get out and direct you.
You’ll also have a standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. This feature helps during those morning rush hours by notifying you when another vehicle is in your blind spot. When you’re backing out of a parking spot at the grocery store after picking up dinner, it will also help prevent a fender bender by alerting you if someone is driving behind you.
Available Safety Features
If you want to equip extra packages or upgrade trim levels, there are a few extra features you can add on.
Available with the Premium Package on the ES 250 AWD and the ES 350, as an additional option on the ES 250 F-Sport AWD, and standard on the ES 250 Luxury and the ES 350 Luxury is Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking. This feature detects objects when you begin to park and will brake if its notification isn’t heeded.
Available as an additional option on the ES 250 Luxury AWD and ES 350 Luxury, as well as standard on the ES 250 Ultra Luxury AWD and ES 350 Ultra Luxury, is Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking, Rear Pedestrian Detection, and Panoramic View Monitor. This functions similar to the feature above but with more visual coverage, and additional notifications for pedestrians.
